"The Red of Blood and Roses" is a multi-point-of-view, dark fantasy/adventure series. The story contains dark fantasy elements, foreboding ambiance, violence, language, sex, drug/alcohol use, and war. These books are intended for adult readers.

The story encompasses two young adults, Colton and Evelyn, who unwillingly get thrust into a fantastical world, long lost and forgotten by humans. Not only are they forced to traverse the frightening and wild fantasy world of Ioretha, but they must also cope with a difficult truth - that everything they thought they knew about life and human origin is a lie. But their crumbling realities are only the beginning of their problems. A dark force grows in this strange world, and it threatens to consume all life. This world, and all other worlds, are awaiting the fate of the light - wondering if it will persist, or if the end of times has begun. Colton and Evelyn both have a crucial part to play in this twisted, beautiful, terrifying tale, and time is running out. Friendships are forged, sides are drawn, and much is not what it seems. The fate of all life rests in the hands of a timid girl who does not want war, and a broken boy, who doesn’t even think that humans are worth saving.

Have you ever wondered if the way you envisioned a character in a book is similar to the way that the author envisioned them? Think about it, there could be a million different ways to see blonde hair, brown eyes, or being tall. Wouldn't it be fun to put a real face to the names?! Well, Danielle thought so too, so she had these created. You may come across a character or two that you don't know yet, but some don't come into the story until later, so keep on reading the series and they'll introduce themselves eventually.
